Call for Speakers 

This is your opportunity to promote a greater understanding of the unique needs of CAT therapists of color and create safe, inclusive environments for professional growth and development. Together, we will explore intersecting ways we promote what we do and how we are advancing the field.

 

In order to make this a memorable event, we will require dynamic and engaging speakers/facilitators that align with the following tracks.

  • Informative Workshops 

  • Panel Discussions(topics TBA)    

  • Experiential Sessions/workshops 

  • Discussion Moderators

To be considered, workshop presentations must:

  • Align with our conference themes.

  • Be interactive, thought-provoking, and action-oriented.

  • Fit within a 60-minute or 90-minute timeframe, with ample time for presenting and attendee reflection/Q&A. 

  • Be conducted with no more than three presenters. 

  • Be able to be delivered in person in Tulum, Mexico, during the days between March 14 -18th, 2023.

Deadline for Submission: June 1st, 2023 at 12AM EST

Notification of Acceptance: August 1st, 2023

 

Submission Instructions And Guidelines (Please read the following information carefully)

Online submissions only (click “Apply Online” below). The online form is the preferred method. Please ensure that you give an overview of your proposed talk and mention which track you feel is the best fit for your topic. 

 

If you have trouble completing the form, please email your submission to our team at admin@catevolve.com. Please ensure that you give an overview of your talk and mention which track you feel is the best fit for your topic. Include a brief biography and contact information (phone and email). Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Review And Selection Process

We are carefully reviewing all submissions to ensure the proposed topics are a good fit for this event. In the event we receive multiple submissions with a very similar topic, we will go with the submission that is the best fit for this event.

Notifications: We will notify all submitters about the status of their submissions by August 1st, 2023.

​

Follow-up: In August 2023, a member of our team will contact speakers to discuss each workshop so that participants and staff can discuss details via at least one call. This pre-call is required for participation.

 

All materials and presentation files for accepted speakers must be finalized and submitted to our staff no later than January 2024.
